We have arrived safely in Minnesota to spend vacation with my family, but a number of Minnesotans never arrived home last night. While no one I know was involved, please keep the victims of last night's Minneapolis bridge collapse and their family members in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

What a tragedy. I found myself thinking and praying for them while I was at work today. It is my hope that those lives won't be lost in vain and that bridge safety will become a top priority.
This is such a scarey, sad tragedy. I hate that it takes something of this magnitude to wake up the government.
